Keynote in Michigan on Humanism, Listening, and how to Build a Better Now™

The last time Jason Wasserman and I spoke, he had just booked me for a show on my first ever spoken word tour in 2001 in Birmingham Alabama. After the show we ate massive amounts of falafel, and then I drove off to my next show (in Springfield Massachusetts….how’s THAT for tour routing). Then we didn’t speak for two decades.

Fast forward over twenty years and now he is a leading medical ethics expert and invited me to be the keynote speaker last night on the intersection of humanism, creativity, and building a better future (by building a better now!) for his group of medical professionals in Michigan.

I spoke on improving patient care and the psychological perspectives which make those relationships possible. And we had fun while doing it! Thank you Jason! Let’s not have it be another twenty years.

🙏❤️
