An incredible time and meeting of the minds at the National Speakers Association THRIVE conference in Albuquerque New Mexico this weekend. The best part of being a professional speaker in the National Speakers Association community is the comraderie and learning opportunities that arise when people in the same professional field trade notes and grow together.
We are all too often pitted against one another for adavancement or achievement but in the NSA, things feel differently. While sure, there are people who covet thy neighbors words and gigs, there is an underlying idea that uplifts all: instead of fighting for pieces of the pie, lets create a bigger pie for everyone to be involved and gain from access to more clients in a solidly informed client base.
I spent this conference having great conversations and creative brainstorming sessions about thought leadership and keynotes with my brilliant speaker friends Tom Pesce, Rob Ferre, and Shep Hyken.
NSA events are a combination of a nonstop party and a relentless PhD in both speaking and the business behind it. Just amazing experiences always, and available to anyone in the industry, or who has thought about joining the industry.
